Testimonials from My Prior Clients Back in Texas
We were complete newbies to the sport of dog agility when, in 2003, a friend of ours suggested we contact Elizabeth to learn about the sport and determine whether we wanted to continue forward in training with our Doberman puppy. 18 years and 3 Dobermans later, we’re still training with Elizabeth. That should be all of the encouragement one needs to make the decision to train with her! Elizabeth is an eternally patient and kind instructor who will work with you on whatever level you are interested in. And, Elizabeth is one of the nicest people you will ever meet! We love her and know you will, too! You cannot go wrong in choosing to train with Elizabeth!

I have trained with Elizabeth in Texas for 10 years. She is knowledgeable on many different handling systems and can help you meet you and your dogs needs. My first Golden retriever was scared of the teeter and loved visiting everyone in the ring. EE helped us get over our challenges. My second Golden was totally different personality with a much higher drive and EE helped me with all the challenges that come with a high drive dog. If your goals are just having fun with your dog or train for competition, she will be happy to help with either goal. She will truly be missed in Texas!

I have trained with Elizabeth Evans since 2002. She is knowledgeable, patient and creative in helping teams be their best. No matter what breed your dog and whether you just want to have fun with your dog or are striving to be competitive at a National level, Elizabeth can help you meet your goals.
I have trained four agility dogs with Elizabeth over the past 15 years, in both group classes and private lessons, and was heartbroken that she will not be in Texas to help with my fifth. She is a patient, kind, and generous instructor and trainer, with the experience to back up everything she says and does. I, and my dogs, will miss her sorely. We would not have reached the heights--including the occasional regional or national podium--without her help.
Elizabeth is an incredible teacher. She is very experienced, having competed at international level, so she can really help you fine tune your handling skills. Elizabeth is the kindest and most encouraging instructor I've ever known. Elizabeth can easily relate to beginners and experienced people at the same time. She has been incredibly kind to my 8 yr old granddaughter who occasionally comes to class with us. Elizabeth encourages her and makes her feel very confident. I wish I could move to TN with her!!!!

My young, energetic Weimaraner and I are a green team who came to Elizabeth by chance. At the time, we needed help with handling, certain equipment and contacts. Elizabeth has really added a lot to our agility education. She takes a friendly, positive approach and I have learned so much from her in the brief time we've been taking her class. Her classes are run very efficiently with time for questions during and afterwards. She is a wealth of knowledge and remains positive with even the most greenest of teams. She makes agility fun and can prepare you for success in the ring, if you want it.

Elizabeth Evans has a deep wealth of knowledge and ability to encourage and get the most from the handler/dog team in front her. It doesn't matter if your goal is recreation or competition, you will love training with her!!

Nashville folks: if you are looking for an awesome instructor, Elizabeth Evans is for you! I am a mobility-impaired 76 y/o who is still competing, primarily in NADAC. EE has competed in different venues at all levels. She has experience with a variety of approaches but never pressures you to follow any particular one, focusing on what works for that handler/animal team. Although I focus on NADAC and distance work, EE has helped me with AKC courses as well. EE has been supportive and encouraging, helping me focus on successes, rather than errors, and gives ideas on what could be done better. We will miss her terribly, our loss in TX, your gain in TN.

My pup Zwing and I have worked with Elizabeth Evans for about 9 months through private therapy, although I was late to the game of using her as a trainer with my other dog. First and foremost, before mentioning her agility skills, she is one of the nicest and most positive trainers I have met. She is a 100% positive dog trainer. She also is 100% positive with her students. Elizabeth is very observant and is quick to point out recommendations. She phrases her recommendations so that her students feel positive as a team with their dogs. She is amazing at problem solving. I have a notebook that I write her recommendations in after every lesson. Flipping through the notebook, I can see my dog’s progress over time and the progression of skills due to her sound advice. I highly recommend her as a trainer!

Elizabeth is able to give personalized instruction by looking at both dog and handler to bring out the best, individualized approach to learning agility. She is always kind with her corrections and chooses positive and encouraging words in her instruction. She is a listener of her student’s concerns. We love her connection to each team as if it were to only team (dog and handler) that she has! She is unique in her care of the individual person and dog for “best practices” in agility from her wealth of experience and achievements.

When I moved to Texas, I was directed to Elizabeth Evans because I was training a non-traditional breed for agility. She was amazing and got the best from him. She is very patient, has a good eye, realizes that not every team can handle a sequence in the same way. She will work with your strengths and make you the best you can be. Whether you want to do agility for fun and exercise or in preparation for competition, you can do no better!

When I acquired my standard poodle, I thought I might like to learn with her the art of agility. In finding Elizabeth Evans we both found a professional trainer with great knowledge and a marvelous skill set for making training easy and fun. We also found a sincere and caring woman who was dedicated to my poodle being happy and in both of us being happy working as a team.

Elizabeth is a great instructor! I’m new to the sport and she is patient explaining and teaching handling techniques and is so knowledgeable. She is also great working with more sensitive dogs and working at their pace.

I was a newbie and joined a beginner class at another facility. They were good but only knew how to teach the same way for every team. I gave up after nine lessons. I found Elizabeth five months later and she helped me succeed! I will miss her knowledge, experience and approach to teaching. And when I say "me" I mean it! My dog didn't need much help! Elizabeth adjusts her instructions based on what she sees. She doesn't have just one way of teaching. She's a gifted teacher - one who doesn't criticize but instead suggests trying a different approach and explains why. What works for one team doesn't always work for another. For you "mature" ladies, you're not too old to learn agility. I'm in my mid-70s and I compete against younger gals and I'm sure you can too. Let Elizabeth help you have fun with your dog!
