GENERAL INFORMATION

Schedule

  • Classes are ongoing with no start/end date.  Many daytime classes shift to an earlier start time in the summer due to the heat.

Finances
  • Ongoing class fees are set up as a monthly subscription.  
  • The $120/monthly fee is based on having 4 classes per month.  
  • If we have 5 weeks in a month (i.e. there are 5 Thursdays in October 2026), then I will either bill you separately for the extra week, or I may cancel one week.  
  • If I cancel a class because of weather, poor road conditions, illness, then I will refund $30 to your method of payment.
  • You can choose PayPal or Stripe/Apple Pay (credit card).

Note about Your Billing Date
  • Whatever date you enroll will be the date you are billed each month.  Ideally, your billing date will be around the 25th of the month.

Absences
  • If class meets and you are absent, no refunds are given.
  • Make-up classes are permitted and are free based on space available in another class at a similar level.  Just ask!

Permanent Withdrawal from Class
  • If you need to permanently withdraw from class, please notify me before your monthly billing date and I can cancel the subscription so you won’t be charged.
  • Two weeks notice before the end of the month is a general courtesy so I have sufficient time to fill your spot with someone else.
  • If you withdraw from class and would like to rejoin at a later date (pending space available), you may need to take some private lessons to catch up on the material that was covered while you were out.
  • The class format does not permit handlers to "take a break” for a month here or there because of heat, cold, travel, etc...  I need to have class spots filled in order to pay the facility rental fees and cover my expenses.  In the case of a handler or dog injury or medical situation, we can talk about what options are available.  
  • If you decide to step away from classes for a short time (like a 2-week vacation, etc...), you have two choices:  

(1) Continue to pay for your spot so it will be available for you when you are ready to return.* 

(2) Drop the class and I will fill your spot with someone else.    

*You may resell your short term missed spots to another handler at a similar level, with permission from the instructor.  

Month Off (When We are Closed)
  • For months when classes don’t meet (we are closed for a month in the summer, July or August), I will pause your subscription so you aren’t charged.
