Game cameras farther from the house capture peaceful nocturnal scenes, revealing groundhogs, coyotes, bobcats, raccoons, armadillos and more. Snake sightings are possible but unlikely. We recommend using an insect repellant while hiking as ticks are common in the warmer months.

"I mean, you did say this was rural..."
"Wait - I have to drive through a stream - twice?!"
"I feel like I'm driving through someone's front yard."
"This is waaaaay out in the country."
"Why are there cows on the actual road?"

Our rural winding country road parallels a shallow stream. For the last mile on your approach to our property, don’t be alarmed when the road crisscrosses a few times through the bumpy limestone creek bed. Keep going, drive right through the stream and the road picks up on the other side. There's just a bit of water to drive through and regular passenger cars will be just fine. Don't be alarmed if you feel like you're driving through someone's yard - just keep going! Be sure to appreciate the beautiful old stone walls that are abundant in this area. We are definitely out in the country!
